This heavy-weight cast-iron base holds the Strathwood market umbrella upright. Placing the umbrella pole through a table opening before inserting into the base gives added support and security especially important under windy conditions. The slightly domed base decoratively displays open grillwork in a dark matte finish that matches Strathwood outdoor tables and just about any décor. Protruding from the center of the base is the 12-inch metal sleeve and its two turn-screws with black plastic handles that tighten into and hold the metal umbrella pole. I absolutely love this base! It is designed to stabilize a cantilever offset umbrella. It comes in four separate triangular pieces to fit between each space in the cross base of the umbrella. This umbrella base is very easy to open to fill with sand, water, etc... This base will add over 100lbs to prevent the Umbrella from falling over. This base is a great asset to our umbrella stand!
