This heavy-weight cast-iron base holds the Strathwood market umbrella upright. Placing the umbrella pole through a table opening before inserting into the base gives added support and security especially important under windy conditions. The slightly domed base decoratively displays open grillwork in a dark matte finish that matches Strathwood outdoor tables and just about any décor. Protruding from the center of the base is the 12-inch metal sleeve and its two turn-screws with black plastic handles that tighten into and hold the metal umbrella pole. To prevent rusting the base should be protected from constant exposure to rain and moisture. It measures 17-1/2 inches in diameter by 13 inches tall and weighs approximately 26 pounds.
